It is unfortunate but divorces do happen and when the spouses decide to dissolve their marriage, it is the parties' attorneys that immediately come into play. Beginning from the very first meeting with a client, we make a great effort to grasp each and every detail that led our client to a serious and irreversible decision of dissolving his/her marriage. Aside from an important determination of the divorce grounds, other serious issues, such as a child support, visitation, custody, spousal maintenance may become a great cause for the spouses's disagreement. The marital property distribution is also the most common cause of the bitter divorce fights. Unlike some other states, the New York State law does not recognize irreconciable differences between the spouses as a valid ground for the divorce.
